Aleh Loika, born 1976, pastor of the Church of Christians of the Evangelical Faith in village Niabytaŭ, Chojniki district, Homieĺ voblasć; head of the «Return» mission for rehabilitating people suffering from drug addiction.
In the beginning of December 2023, pastor Aleh Loika was detained. A report was drawn under Part 2 of Art. 19.11 of the Code of Administrative Offences (Distribution of extremist materials) for subscriptions to Facebook pages of media included in the list of “extremist materials.” The pastor was arrested for ten days; his tablet was confiscated.
On 22 April 2025, he was detained in a criminal case for transmitting information about the movement of Russian military equipment on the territory of Belarus.
Now he is detained in the pre-trial detention centre in Homieĺ.
