Andrey Borisovich Zubov (b. 1952), an Orthodox believer, historian, philosopher, publicist public, church and political figure. Zubov was a member of the Synodal Biblical and Theological Commission and the Inter-Council Establishment of the Russian Orthodox Church in 2009-2014. He was one of the authors of the Basis of the Social Concept of the Russian Orthodox Church (2000).
Zubov spoke out against a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine and against Putin’s politics. He related to the Czechia in the autumn of 2022 and teaches at Masaryk University in Brno.
The Russian Ministry of Justice recognised Zubov a foreign agent on 17 February 2023.
