Archpriest ANDREY LVOV, Russian Orthodox Church (Ivanovo)

Archpriest Andrey Lvov – a priest of the Russian Orthodox Church (ROC), formerly the rector of the parish of St. Seraphim of Sarov in Ivanovo.

After the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Lvov signed an anti-war appeal by ROC priests (his signature was listed as #45). He left Russia.

The priest joined the Apostolic Orthodox Church, which led to his defrocking by the ecclesiastical court of the Ivanovo-Voznesensk Diocese in December 2022 due to schism. In April 2023, this decision was confirmed by Patriarch Kirill (Gundyaev).

On 27 December 2024, the Russian Ministry of Justice added the priest’s name to the list of foreign agents.
