Deacon Alexander Shvedov (born 1959) is a clergyman for the Ukrainian community gathering in the Roman Catholic Cathedral in Moscow.
From the very beginning of the full-scale aggression, he actively spoke on social networks and in sermons against the war.
In 2023, Russian pro-war activists harassed Shvedov on the internet. They called for his arrest and physical violence. In August 2023, he was forced to leave for safety in Armenia.
After leaving, Russian police operatives came to his home address.
